Raynard Tissink has become an icon

in the international Triathlon fraternity and has built up a following in
South Africa and around the world.

Raynard has competed in 25 Ironman races.
He is currently ranked No 2 in the World on www.triathlonranking.com

With 7 IRONMAN titles and 2 IM 70.3 titles:

IRONMAN Korea in 2002 and 2007, IRONMAN Canada in 2003 and IRONMAN South Africa in 2005 & 2010, Im Wisconsin in 2009 and Austria in 2005.

70.3 Sa 2007 and 2008.

Another twelve top five finishes:
IRONMAN Kentucky ( 3rd in 2009), IRONMAN South Africa (2nd in 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2008), IRONMAN Austria (2nd in 2004), IRONMAN Western Australia (2nd in 2007), IRONMAN Malaysia (3rd in 2001), IRONMAN Brazil (4th in 2002), IRONMAN Florida (5th in 2002), IRONMAN Coeur d’'92Alene (2nd in 2003) and another 3rd at IRONMAN Florida in 2003.

Two top ten finishes at the World Championships, in Kona,Hawaii:
In his first ever finish at the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii; he became the first ever South African to finish in the Top 10. In 2005, he finishes in 7th place.

Raynard's goals are to win an Ironman event on every continent.

He only has South America and Australasia to conquer, and to win the World Championships.

He has carved his way into the record books with the fastest ever recorded time for an Ironman race, by a South African. He also recorded one of the fastest bike splits ever in an Ironman, on his way to victory at Ironman South Africa in 2005.
